This box contains the following: loose papers and writings of Barnes, including writing under what may be a pseudonym; Annette Vehlow Barnes' personal papers, 1969; 2 folders of humorous writings by Barnes; personal papers such as school and war records, 1926-1955; ephemera, religious tracts, inspirational quotes, jokes, postcards, 1920s-1960; South Pasadena High School ephemera and programs, 1922; Barnes' personal papers, 1935-1937; Correspondence between Albert and Annette, 1931-1937; personal and professional correspondence, 1922-1974; material for speeches; “Working papers: Homonyms and homophones”, undated; pre-1950 correspondence; papers re: the Kiwanis club, circa 1942; correspondence, circa 1970s; and family photographs.
