Scope and Contents
The Ventura County Star-Free Press negatives collection consists of negatives of news photographs collected by the Ventura County Star-Free Press. The negatives encompass the full spectrum of local daily news and topics reported on by the paper, including local government, politics, military conflicts, society, sports, fashion, the arts, crime, accidents, transportation, urban and suburban development, and human interest stories. Some negatives are accompanied by prints.

Conditions Governing Access
PORTIONS OF COLLECTION STORED OFF-SITE: Open for research. Negatives in boxes are stored off-site and requests to access those materials must be made in advance by contacting the Research Library staff. Researchers MUST make a research appointment on the Research Library website. Please make a note of the box numbers or container you are requesting.
