Abstract This collection comprises surfing memorabilia from John Larronde. Larronde was a surfing pioneer from Malibu, California, who was part of a small but active group of surfers in Southern California, having joined the West Coast Paddleboard Association, building his own surfboards, and entering competitions. Larronde was a founding officer of the Malibu Historical Society, and played an early role in the creation of Ventura’s short-lived (1992-1994) "C" Street Surfing Museum. Larronde’s papers...
