Abstract
Edith Hobson Hoffman (1890-1970) is a member of the Hobson family, early settlers of Ventura County who played a pivotal role in its development. Edith was dedicated to preserving the history of the county throughout her life. These papers contain records detailing the publication of The Letters of José Señán, forty-eight letters incorporated into a book which detail life at the San Buenaventura Mission from 1796 to 1823.
