Charles Leavens Estate collection
Scope and Contents Note
This collection contains the personal records of Charles Leavens. The records are mainly comprised of photographs, postcards, and school programs. Some business records from the Bank of Ventura and the Santa Paula Walnut Association are also included.
A number of documents in the collection refer to H. A. Flint or Flint family members. Henry Flint was an early Ventura County pioneer farmer/rancher in Santa Paula and Saticoy. Upon his death, Flint's property was sold to the Leavens family. Charles Leavens was the family member designated to inventory the Flint property and papers. These papers remained in Mr. Leavens' possession at the time of his death, and thus have become a part of this collection.
